This policy explains what happens to information when you visit getrepbook.com — the RepBook marketing site. It is written to be read, not to be survived. RepBook is operated by Fast Forward LLC (“RepBook,” “we,” “us”), based in Salem, MA.
This page covers this website only. The RepBook iOS app and the live application at repbooklive.com collect and handle information differently and are covered by their own notices.
The short version
- We don’t ask you to create an account or hand over personal details to read this site.
- We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used.
- We don’t sell your personal information.
- We don’t run advertising or retargeting today. If that changes, we’ll update this page first.
- You can opt out of analytics, and you have rights over your data — both explained below.
What we collect
We collect very little directly. Browsing getrepbook.com doesn’t require an account. The information involved falls into two buckets:
- Usage data, through analytics. When you visit, your browser automatically shares standard technical information — the pages you view, your approximate location, and your device and browser type. This is described in the next section.
- Anything you send us. If you email an address on this site (for example, to ask a question or claim a theater listing), we receive whatever you write and your email address, and we keep it only to reply and follow up.
Cookies and Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a web-analytics service from Google. It sets cookies and reads technical information your browser sends — including the address of the page you’re on and your IP address — and Google may use that information to provide and improve its services. Google’s own Analytics terms require us to disclose this use of cookies and data collection, which is what this section does.
We use analytics to see which pages are useful and where the site can be better — not to identify you personally. For visitors in the United Kingdom, European Union, and Switzerland, Google states that Google Analytics does not log or store individual IP addresses; the IP is used briefly to derive coarse location (such as city or country) and then discarded.
You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your activity by installing Google’s official opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking or clearing cookies in your browser’s settings.
Advertising
Today we do not serve ads or use advertising or retargeting cookies on this site. We may add advertising measurement or retargeting in the future. If we do, we will update this policy before turning it on, and we’ll describe the specific tools and the choices you have. Under California law, sharing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising (the mechanism behind retargeting) is treated as “sharing” you can opt out of, and we would honor that.
How we use information
We use the limited information above to operate and improve this website, to understand aggregate traffic, to respond to messages you send us, and to keep the site secure. We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it to build advertising profiles about you.
Your choices
- Analytics. Opt out with Google’s opt-out add-on or your browser’s cookie controls.
- Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out of sale or sharing.
- Email. You’re never on a mailing list you didn’t ask for; we only email you back if you email us.
Your rights in the UK and EU
If you’re in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, data protection law gives you a set of rights over your personal data — to be informed about how it’s used, and to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to its processing. To exercise any of these, write to us at the address below and we’ll respond.
Your California privacy rights
California residents have rights under the CCPA: to know what personal information we collect and how it’s used and shared, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of its sale or sharing, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We don’t sell personal information. To make a request, contact us below.
Children
This site isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information — a group protected by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a child has given us information, write to us and we’ll delete it.
Keeping and protecting information
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was given — analytics in aggregate, and any email correspondence for as long as it’s useful to the conversation. We use reasonable safeguards to protect the little information we hold, though no method of transmission over the internet is ever perfectly secure.
Links to other sites
This site links to places we don’t control — the App Store, theater websites, and the sources cited on our pages. Their privacy practices are their own; this policy doesn’t cover them.
Changes to this policy
When we change how this site handles information — including before we ever enable advertising or retargeting — we’ll update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be made clear.
